Alma is an SME based in Barcelona (Spain). The company was created in 2005 and it now has a staff of 20 people. Its main activity is to create and develop computer programs and sell the software products to the world of medicine. Our products provide advanced medical imaging and healthcare systems for the different clinical departments in an integrated and seamless fashion.

ALMA actively participates in a number of research projects at regional, national and international level. Some of them include: CDTEAM (a radiological workstation for cardiac and diagnosis and treatment), MICROTON (an electron accelerator for intra operatory radiotherapy) and ETES (patient-specific surgical planning for tracheal implants). The role of ALMA in the CHIRON project will be to contribute its experience in the field of medical image processing and visualisation and to develop new methods and implementations adapted to the novel hardware architectures defined in the project.
