CHIRON Kick-off Meeting – March 25, 2010
The CHIRON kick-off meeting was held in Bologna, Italy on Thursday March 25.
The 26 Partners of the CHIRON Consortium discussed about the general objectives and contents of the research project and defined in detail the work plan with specific focus on the 1st year of activity (March 1, 2010- February 28,2011).
The Plenary Meeting of March 25 was combined with four Technical Workshops addressing the main topics of the Project:
Session A : Design of the CHIRON Overall Architecture including Network Infrastructure & Data Management;
Session B : Design of multi-parametric monitoring and sensor nodes;
Session C : Expert system (data analysis; feature extraction and generation of medical feedbacks);
Session D : The Medical Imaging Chain.
CHIRON is a research project of the ARTEMIS JU Programme (call 2009 – Sub Program 2 : Person-centric healthcare management).
The project has a length of 36 months and will be completed on February 2013. The total planned cost is 18 M Euro with a combined funding of 9.2 M Euro by the ARTEMIS JU and by the National Authorities.
